DIRECTIONS

By road the village of Terrington St John  is situated 1 mile off the A47 and is easily reached from either north or south direction.
Travelling east on the A47 towards Kings Lynn, take the slip road to the village of Terrington St John;  at the end of the slip road turn right going over the bridge of the A47 until you reach a small T-junction (1/2 a kilometre). Turn right signposted The Walpoles; in approx. 200 metres you reach a dual carriageway;   keep to the outside lane and after approx.  200 metres take the inter-section to do a U-turn heading back the way you came on the other side of the dual carriageway.  Entrance to The Chestnuts  is approx. 200 metres on the left-hand side.   Travelling West on the A47 from Kings Lynn, take the slip road to Terrington St John;  at the end of the slip road, turn left;  after approx. 300 metres turn right towards The Walpoles and continue as above.

There are excellent rail links from Stansted airport to our local station of Watlington (via Cambridge and The Cathedral town of Ely) which is the last stop before Kings Lynn.  Also a half hourly bus service, the X1, travelling from Peterborough, Kings Lynn, Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft,  stops at the village en route.
